Order of Urban Vision · Aotearoa

Joining Jesus
in the
Neighbourhood

A movement of people who relocate — to live, pray, and give our best alongside those at the edge.

An apostolic order · Not a programme, not a social service · A movement

Three strands.
One strong rope.

Like a strong rope, these strands form the core of Urban Vision.

01

Passionate
Jesus Faith

Te Whakapono Pū ki te Karaiti

Jesus is our center. Through scripture, Spirit-empowered prayer, and cross-shaped humility, we seek deep intimacy with the One already at work in our streets.

02

Communities of
Deep Belonging

Ngā Hapori Whakapiripiri

We live in "milk-sharing distance." Discipleship happens kanohi ki te kanohi — face to face — in tight-knit teams sharing meals, chores, and our whole selves.

03

Giving Our Best
on the Edge

Te Whakapau Kaha ki te Hunga Rawakore

We join Jesus among the marginalized. This isn't charity — it's friendship. We share our homes, our time, and our lives, pursuing God's loving justice until every captive is set free.

A North Island
whānau.

Ngatiawa River Monastery
Reikorangi Valley

Our mother house. A thin place of prayer and radical hospitality nestled in the valley — the heartbeat of the whole movement.

Neighbourhood rejuvenation.

Empowering "Roskill Champions" in one of Aotearoa's most ethnically diverse suburbs — neighbours leading neighbours.

Ready for a
different way of living?

Our three-year formation process — Catch it, Live it, Own it — is a journey of becoming. Find a team near you, or visit the monastery to begin.

Catch it

Come and see. Visit a team, share a meal, experience the life up close before committing.

Live it

Move in. Join a community team and begin living the three strands in the daily rhythm of life.

Own it

Take the covenant. Become a full member of the Order and help plant the vision in new places.

Visit the Monastery

Ngatiawa River Monastery welcomes guests. Come and be held in a thin place of rest and prayer.
